This clock gets its entire visual identity from one cut — the gear-tooth silhouette — rather than from an elaborate mechanism. A standard off-the-shelf quartz clock movement does all the actual timekeeping; the woodworking is entirely in the shape.
The board needs to be at least 1/4" thick to accept the clock mechanism's shaft, which is the one hard constraint on material choice. Beyond that, any board wide enough for a roughly 12" circle works.
A printed gear template, taped or spray-adhesived to the board, replaces a numeric cut list entirely here — trace the template rather than trying to reconstruct gear-tooth geometry from measurements.

Assumes 8 ft stock, a 1/8" saw kerf, and buying each part at its own width. Change the board size or kerf on the full board plan →
Print a gear template and tape or spray-adhesive it onto the board.
Cut out the gear silhouette with a jigsaw, following the template closely around each tooth.
Find the center of the blank and drill a hole sized to the clock mechanism's shaft with a forstner bit.
Sand the cut edges and both faces smooth, then paint or stain as desired.
Install the clock mechanism through the center hole and set the hands.
