Bar and pipe clamps are awkward to store loose — they roll off shelves and tangle with anything nearby. This rack is deliberately minimal: one horizontal board, two short vertical supports, and a top strip, sized entirely to whatever scrap you have and however many clamps you own.
The vertical supports set the rack's standoff from the wall, and that distance needs to clear your deepest clamp's jaw — measure your biggest clamp before cutting these, not after.
Mounting to two wall studs, not drywall anchors, matters more here than it looks like it should: a rack loaded with a half-dozen bar clamps is genuinely heavy, and drywall anchors alone will eventually pull out under that sustained weight.

A board foot is a volume, not a length: 144 cubic inches, or a piece 1″ thick by 12″ wide by 12″ long. The “≈” note beside each row shows roughly how much 3/4″ × 6″ board that works out to.

Cut one horizontal board long enough to span two wall studs, two short vertical side supports sized to the depth of your deepest clamp, and one narrow top strip.
Attach the vertical supports to the horizontal board, then attach the top strip across them.
Mount the assembled rack to two wall studs for strength, then hang clamps by their jaws over the top strip.
