1. Choose the basin and size the cabinet
Materials: Plastic container (basin)
Choose a plastic container to serve as the sink basin and determine the overall cabinet size from its footprint.
2. Cut the cabinet pieces
Tools: Circular Saw. Materials: Plywood or pine boards, assorted
Cut the wood top, front, back, and side pieces to match the container's footprint.
3. Build the cabinet
Tools: Drill / Driver, Pocket Hole Jig. Materials: Plywood or pine boards, assorted, Pocket hole screws
Join the pieces with pocket holes, building the top first, then the front and back, then the sides.
4. Build the faucet
Materials: Pipe flange, 1/2", PVC pipe and elbow fittings, Spray paint
Build a faucet from the pipe flange, PVC pipe, and elbow fittings, then spray paint it to match the knobs.
5. Add the spinning knobs
Tools: Drill / Driver. Materials: Machine screw and nuts
Drill and install spinning knobs using a machine screw, nuts, and an end cap.
6. Install the pump
Materials: Submersible mini pump, Vinyl tubing
Install the submersible pump in the basin with tubing routed up through the faucet so it actually runs water.
