Build the base from the long boards and end caps, using 2" wood screws and wood glue.

Lay out and drill the holes for the cones and support dowels in the top of the base — check your spacing against your actual craft-store cone and ball pieces before drilling, since sizes vary between suppliers.

Cut the two support dowels to length and glue them into their drilled holes. Attach the top bar across the dowels with screws.

Sand the whole assembly, then finish and paint as you like. Glue the wood cones and balls into their drilled holes to finish the piece as a pretend ice cream stand.
