Tools: Tape Measure
Measure the width of the drawer the organizer will live in.
Tools: Hand Saw. Materials: Wood strips, 3/4" x 3/4"
Cut two long strips to the drawer's width, set them in the drawer, and test-fit a spice jar on top of them. Adjust the spacing between the two strips until the jar tilts to a readable angle without blocking the drawer from closing.
Tools: Hand Saw, Tape Measure. Materials: Wood strips, 3/4" x 3/4"
Measure the gap between the two long strips you just fitted, and cut two short connecting pieces to that exact length.
Tools: Spring Clamps. Materials: Wood strips, 3/4" x 3/4", Wood glue, Sandpaper, 120 grit
Sand all four pieces, then glue the short connecting pieces between the long strips to form a rectangular frame. Clamp until dry.
Tools: Hand Saw, Spring Clamps. Materials: Wood strips, 3/4" x 3/4", Wood glue
Repeat the process to build as many frames as needed to fill the width of the drawer.
Tools: Hand Saw. Materials: Wood strips, 3/4" x 3/4"
Cut loose spacer strips to fill any leftover gap between the last frame and the drawer side — these don't need glue, just enough friction fit to keep everything from shifting. Load the drawer with spice jars.
