Build two identical end panels from the side boards, joined with 3/4" pocket holes and 1-1/4" pocket hole screws. Sides can be built shorter or taller than shown — the construction is the same regardless of height.

Attach the 2x2 legs to the two end panels while they're still flat — this is easier to do now than after the sides are on.

Attach the remaining side boards to join the two ends into a box, using pocket holes and screws.

Lay the 1x2 slats across the bottom for drainage. Line the inside with hardware cloth, tar paper, or a plastic liner before adding soil to protect the wood. Add optional craft finials to the tops of the legs. Sand and finish.
