Drill 3/4" pocket holes around all four sides of the top shelf board. Drill a single 1-1/2" pocket hole on each end of the 11-1/4" side trim pieces. Attach the side trim with 1-1/4" pocket hole screws and glue, then attach the front and back trim with 1-1/4" pocket hole screws (into the top) and 2-1/2" pocket hole screws (at the corners into the side trim).
Drill two 1-1/2" pocket holes on one end of each leg. Attach to the underside of the top with glue and 2-1/2" pocket hole screws.
Inset the side trim 3/4" from the outside of the legs, using a scrap piece of 1x wood as a spacer if helpful. Drill a 3/4" pocket hole on each end of the side trim and attach to the legs with 1-1/4" pocket hole screws and glue.
Drill 3/4" pocket holes around all four edges of the shelves, including into the legs. Attach to the side trim and legs with 1-1/4" pocket hole screws and glue.
Sand all surfaces and apply primer and paint, or stain and poly.
