A 48" round top on three angled 4x4 truss legs, joined with mending plates instead of hidden joinery — the hardware is part of the look.

Tools: Drill / Driver, Hammer. Materials: 2x4 board, 8 ft, 4x4 board, 8 ft, Mending plates, Self-tapping wood screws, 2-1/2" and 3", Wood glue
Attach the two 4x4 pieces (main leg and leg foot) to a top 2x4 leg piece with 3" screws and glue, following your leg diagram for placement. Pound the mending plates into place across the joint on one side, flip the assembly, and repeat on the opposite face. Set this first leg aside as your pattern.
Tools: Drill / Driver, Hammer, Miter Saw. Materials: 2x4 board, 8 ft, 4x4 board, 8 ft, Mending plates, Self-tapping wood screws, 2-1/2" and 3", Wood glue
Using the first leg as your physical pattern, mark, cut, and assemble the remaining two legs the same way, checking each against the pattern before you commit glue. Matching legs matter more here than on a four-legged table — with only three legs, any one that's off is immediately visible.
If substituting doubled-up 2x4s for 4x4 stock, first join each pair with 1-1/2" pocket holes on the inside face, screw the six resulting leg sets together with 2-1/2" screws, then add the mending plates as above.
Tools: Drill / Driver. Materials: 3/4" plywood, 48" round tabletop, Self-tapping wood screws, 2-1/2" and 3", Wood glue
With the tabletop face down, position the three legs evenly spaced around the underside, then glue and screw each one down through the top leg piece.
