The whole stand is just two identical 45°-angled frames joined together, which is what makes this one of the fastest builds in the catalog — get the 45° angle right once (a scrap block cut to that angle, or a speed square, both work as a guide) and every joint in both frames repeats the same cut. The two frames lean the buckets back at a display angle rather than standing them upright, which is the entire trick behind why loose buckets or baskets sit securely on it without any hardware holding them in place — gravity and the lean do the work.
The cross support, scribed to fit after the frames are joined rather than cut to a fixed measurement up front, is what keeps the stand rigid side to side. Scribing it in place (tracing the actual angle off the assembled frame) is more reliable than trusting a calculated angle, since small variations in how square each frame came out will change that angle slightly.

Build two identical A-frames from the frame boards and cross braces. Use a scrap block cut at 45°, or a speed square, to guide placing the boards at the correct angle. Attach with 1-1/4" pocket hole screws or 2" self-tapping screws, gluing every joint.
Attach the two frames together with 1-1/4" nails, staples, or screws and glue. Lay a scrap board over the sides, trace the actual angle where it crosses, cut to that scribed line, and attach for additional side-to-side rigidity.
Set your buckets or baskets into the angled frames — the lean is what holds them in place with no extra hardware.
