1. Cut all the pieces
Tools: Miter Saw. Materials: Pine board, 1x4 (1/2" actual thickness), 4 ft
Cut all pieces to size per the cut list from the 1x4 board.
2. Glue the base
Tools: Spring Clamps. Materials: Pine board, 1x4 (1/2" actual thickness), 4 ft, Wood glue
Glue and clamp two side pieces to the bottom piece, waiting about 30 minutes for the glue to set.
3. Add the back verticals
Tools: Spring Clamps. Materials: Pine board, 1x4 (1/2" actual thickness), 4 ft, Wood glue
Glue the two back vertical pieces in place. Optionally notch the side pieces to fit the back verticals for extra gluing surface and strength.
4. Close up the rack
Tools: Spring Clamps. Materials: Pine board, 1x4 (1/2" actual thickness), 4 ft, Wood glue
Glue on the bottom front and top front pieces to complete the rack.
5. Finish and mount
Materials: Stain, Polyurethane
Stain and seal with polyurethane, then mount inside a cabinet door.
