Barn Door Pantry Cabinet

Attach the top and bottom to the sides with pocket holes hidden on the outsides, holding the bottom up 3-1/2" for a toe-kick. Attach the base supports under the bottom shelf. Attach the center divider centered between top and bottom, pocket holes facing the side the barn door will cover.

Attach the shelves to the sides and divider with pocket hole screws and glue. Use 12" spacer blocks to set consistent shelf heights. Check the cabinet for square before continuing.

Build the face frame separately with pocket holes and pocket hole screws, then attach to the front of the cabinet with glue and finish nails.

Mark the shelf locations on the back edges. Attach the back panels with glue, nailing to all shelves, sides, and the divider with 3/4" brad nails.

Cut and attach the crown moulding and base moulding to fit the cabinet.

Install the barn door hardware first, then measure the actual opening to determine the door height.

Rip the tongue and groove off the first and last door boards on a table saw. Assemble the tongue and groove boards, then nail and glue the top and bottom 1x8 rails across them to tie the door together.

Sand all surfaces and apply primer and paint, or stain and poly. Hang the finished barn door on the installed hardware.
