The X ends are the whole design: two 1x2 arms mitered to cross at 45°, joined with a single pocket hole where they meet. Get that crossing point centered and the caddy looks intentional; get it off-center and it reads as a mistake, so dry-fit the X before committing to a permanent joint.
Save the corner-rounding for last. It's much easier to round over the top and bottom corners of the assembled X panels with a jigsaw and sander once everything else is attached than to try to match two separately-rounded panels during assembly.

Assumes 8 ft stock, a 1/8" saw kerf, and buying each part at its own width. Change the board size or kerf on the full board plan →
Join the mitered X arms at their crossing point with a single 3/4" pocket hole and 1-1/4" pocket hole screw, plus glue. Dry-fit first and check the crossing point is centered on both arms before you commit.
Attach the bottom support pieces to the bottom of each X panel on the insides, using 1-1/4" finish nails and glue, or countersunk screws.
Attach the bottom shelf boards to the bottom supports with 1-1/4" screws or finish nails and glue.
Attach the three top shelf slats (bottom, middle, top) with either pocket holes or countersunk screws and glue. Once everything is assembled, use a jigsaw to round over the top and bottom corners of the X end panels, then sand the curves smooth.
