Cut two boards to match the desired height of your under-sink organizer. The overall height should be about 1" less than the cabinet opening so the organizer can be placed under the sink easily.
Cut the shelf board 2" narrower than your desired final width, giving about 1/2" of clearance to fit under the sink. Attach with screws or 1-1/4" brad nails and glue. If using a pass-through back design, position the shelf so a 1x8 board can fit above it for the back.
If using plywood, cut a piece of 1/4" plywood to fit either the upper part of the back (pass-through) or the full back. Attach with brad nails or screws and glue.
