This is a measure-first build with no fixed cut list — every dimension comes from your own cabinet opening, not a number on this page. Cut the overall height about 1" shorter than the cabinet opening so the organizer can actually be lifted in and out around the plumbing, and cut the shelf board 2" narrower than your desired final width, which leaves about 1/2" of side clearance for an easy fit.
Choose your back style based on what you're hiding: a pass-through design (an open lower section with just a 1x8 board partway up the back) works when you want to reach behind the shelf, while covering the full back with 1/4" plywood gives a cleaner look when there's nothing back there you need access to.

Assumes 8 ft stock, a 1/8" saw kerf, and buying each part at its own width. Change the board size or kerf on the full board plan →
Cut two boards to match the desired height of your under-sink organizer. The overall height should be about 1" less than the cabinet opening so the organizer can be placed under the sink easily.
Cut the shelf board 2" narrower than your desired final width, giving about 1/2" of clearance to fit under the sink. Attach with screws or 1-1/4" brad nails and glue. If using a pass-through back design, position the shelf so a 1x8 board can fit above it for the back.
If using plywood, cut a piece of 1/4" plywood to fit either the upper part of the back (pass-through) or the full back. Attach with brad nails or screws and glue.
