A small wall-mounted shelf for a bath or entry: two shelves between decoratively scrolled sides, a hook rail, and cove moulding for a finished, built-in look. It's a satisfying build that punches above its size because of the shaped sides and the trim.
The scroll pattern on the sides is the hardest part and the part people notice. Transfer the pattern to both 1x8 sides, cut with a jigsaw, and — critically — make the two match. Your 1x8s may vary slightly in width, so cut the shelves and trim to fit the actual assembled unit rather than the nominal numbers.
Assembly is friendly: pocket holes or 2" finish nails and glue hold the shelves, with a 10" gap between them. The base attaches to the bottom shelf as well as the sides for strength. Miter the cove moulding corners at 45° (keep the moulding to 3/4" x 3/4" or smaller so it suits the scale) and tack it on. Hang the finished shelf by screwing through the 1x6 base into a wall stud.

Transfer the scroll pattern to both 1x8 sides and cut with a jigsaw, making sure both ends match, and sand any rough areas. Your 1x8s may vary slightly in width, so plan to cut shelves and trim to the actual assembled dimensions.
Attach the shelves to the sides — pocket holes, or 2" finish nails/screws and glue. Leave a 10" space between the shelves.
If you want the center partition, fasten it in place with 2" finish nails and glue (pocket holes won't fit here). Then attach the 1x6 base, fastening to the bottom shelf as well as the sides for strength.
Add the front crown with 1-1/4" finish nails and glue, then the end pieces cut to fit (your 1x8s vary, so measure). Attach the 1/4" back to square the unit.
Miter the cove moulding corners at 45° (keep it to 3/4" x 3/4" or smaller for the scale) and glue and tack it on with 1-1/4" nails. Mount the hooks, sand, and finish. Hang by screwing through the 1x6 base into a wall stud.
