This is a two-part build that reads as one piece: a simple plank-top table for the base, and a small open-shelf hutch that sits on the back edge to hold products and frame a lighted mirror. Keeping them separate is what makes it approachable — the base is structural and gets pocket-hole strength, while the hutch is light decor and can be brad-nailed together, no fussy joinery.
The base is about as simple as a table gets: two wide 1x12 legs hung under a 1x12 top with a half-inch overhang, tied together with a pair of 1x4 aprons. Measure the leg spacing at the top for your apron length rather than trusting the drawing — a 1x12's real width varies and the aprons have to fit what you actually built.
The light-up mirror itself is a purchased item, not part of the build; size the hutch opening to the mirror you're using. This is a great early furniture project precisely because the hard part (the base) is honest and square, and the forgiving part (the hutch) is where a beginner's small errors hide.

Assumes 8 ft stock, a 1/8" saw kerf, and buying each part at its own width. Change the board size or kerf on the full board plan →
Drill three pocket holes on one end of each 1x12 leg board. Attach them to the underside of the top with 1-1/4" pocket screws, leaving a 1/2" overhang on each end. Keep the legs square to the top.
Measure the distance between the two legs at the tabletop for the most accurate number, and cut the two 1x4 aprons to it. Drill two 3/4" pocket holes at each end, plus pocket holes along one edge of the top apron facing up to attach it to the tabletop. Fasten with 1-1/4" pocket screws. This ties the legs together and stiffens the base.
Build the hutch with brad nails and glue — it isn't structural, so nails are fine and hide better than pocket screws. Build the two shelf sections first, then add the top. Size the center opening to your light-up mirror. Connect the finished hutch to the base with a few screws through the back.
Sand and finish the whole piece.
