Simple Rustic Modern Console Table

Step-by-step build — 4 steps. Also available as a print sheet.

1Attach the top to the legs
Tools
- Brad Nailer
- Pocket Hole Jig
Materials
- 1x12, 12 ft (pine or whitewood)
- Brad nails, 1-1/4", or pocket hole screws, 1-1/4"
- Wood glue
Attach the top to the two legs with 1-1/4" brad nails and glue, or with pocket holes and 1-1/4" pocket hole screws.
2Attach the back panel

- Brad Nailer
Materials
- 1x10, 4 ft (pine or whitewood)
- Brad nails, 1-1/4", or pocket hole screws, 1-1/4"
- Wood glue
Attach the 1x10 back panel inset between the two legs.
3Attach the bottom shelf
Tools
- Brad Nailer
Materials
- 1x12, 12 ft (pine or whitewood)
- Brad nails, 1-1/4", or pocket hole screws, 1-1/4"
Attach the bottom shelf to the legs and the back panel.
4Finish
Tools
- Random Orbit Sander
Materials
- Primer and paint, or stain and poly
Sand all surfaces and apply primer and paint, or stain and poly.
