Square up the assembled base. Find and mark the centers of the tabletop supports and the end aprons. Line up the center tabletop boards with these marks and fasten through the bottom with 2" screws and glue, minimizing gaps as you go.
Tools: Drill / Driver, Speed Square. Materials: 1x10, 8 ft, Self-tapping wood screws, 2", star bit, Wood glue
Mark out the screw hole pattern on the top of the table. Confirm the table is square, then predrill and screw the remaining tabletop boards to the end aprons with 2" screws and glue.
Tools: Drill / Driver. Materials: 4x4, 10 ft, Self-tapping wood screws, 3", star bit, for legs
Fasten the 4x4 legs to the aprons from the outside with the longer 3" screws. Do not use glue on this joint if you want the legs to remain removable.
Tools: Drill / Driver, Random Orbit Sander. Materials: 2x2, 8 ft, Self-tapping wood screws, 1-1/4", star bit, Wood filler, Sandpaper
Add the mitered 2x2 cross supports underneath once the main structure is confirmed square and solid. Fill any exposed holes, sand, and finish.
