Simple 1x12 Bench or Bedside Table

Use a jigsaw to cut a shape into the bottom of the two leg pieces, following the diagram or your own traced curve. Keep both legs matching.

Attach the top and shelf to the legs with 1-1/4"–2" nails and glue, or pocket holes if you have a jig — attach the top first if using pocket holes, since the shelf will block drill access afterward.

Attach the side support pieces to the top and legs with 1-1/4" finish nails and glue, tying the whole piece together.

Sand all surfaces and apply primer and paint, or stain and poly.
