Rustic Wooden Candle Holders

Step-by-step build — 3 steps. Also available as a print sheet.

1Cut the post
Tools
- Miter Saw
Materials
- Pine or cedar, 4x4, scrap
Cut the 4x4 to your desired length with a compound miter saw.
2Add the bottom trim

- Brad Nailer
Materials
- Flat lattice, 1/4" x 7/8"
Miter the bottom trim pieces around the base of the post and attach with glue and 1" brad or pin nails.
3Add the top trim
Tools
- Brad Nailer
Materials
- Flat moulding, 1/2" x 3/4"
Repeat with the smaller top trim pieces, but leave a 1/4" reveal below the top of the post rather than mounting it flush.
