Tools: Drill / Driver. Materials: 2x4, 8 ft (soft pine, minimal knots), 2x2, 20 in, Self-tapping trim screws, 2"
Attach a leg diagonal to two legs with 2" trim screws, four screws total, two per leg. Keep the diagonal's long point facing outward and flush to the bottom.
Tools: Drill / Driver. Materials: 2x4, 8 ft (soft pine, minimal knots), 2x2, 20 in, Self-tapping trim screws, 2"
Repeat for the second leg set, orienting the diagonal so it fits together with the first leg set as a mirror image.
Tools: Drill / Driver. Materials: Self-tapping trim screws, 2"
Set the two leg sets together and lock in. Attach at the top and bottom with 2" trim screws driven at a 45° angle, practicing the angled-screw technique on scrap first.
Tools: Circular Saw, Drill / Driver, Pocket Hole Jig. Materials: 2x4, 8 ft (soft pine, minimal knots), 2x6, 12 ft (soft pine, minimal knots), Pocket hole screws, 1-1/2"
Cut the tabletop boards, glue edge to edge, and lay out the circle. Place pocket holes so they land inside the circle. Drill 1-1/2" pocket holes and attach with pocket hole screws, then cut the circle.
Tools: Drill / Driver. Materials: Self-tapping trim screws, 2", Leveling feet
Attach the base to the top with angled screws at the outside corners. Add leveling feet to the bottom if needed.
Tools: Random Orbit Sander. Materials: Primer and paint, or stain and poly
Sand all surfaces and apply primer and paint, or stain and poly.
