This cart's legs are aluminum angle iron, not wood — a genuinely different structural material from anything else in this catalog's rolling storage, and one that makes for a light, thin-profile frame that still holds up thick 2x12 shelves. Cut the aluminum angle with a jigsaw fitted with a metal-cutting blade — a standard wood blade will not cut aluminum cleanly and dulls almost immediately, so swapping blades before this step isn't optional.
Predrill through both the angle iron and the wood shelves where they'll meet, then bolt or screw the angle to the shelves — metal-to-wood fastening benefits from a slightly larger predrilled hole in the metal than the screw's shank, so the screw doesn't bind while threading into the wood.
The shelf spacing and even the overall height are genuinely open choices — the cut list scales to your desired shelf length and your desired height without casters, so this build is really a formula more than a fixed size. Attach caster wheels to the base once the frame is upright, and if the finished cart feels at all wobbly, the plan's own fix is a flat aluminum bar screwed to the back — a simple diagonal or vertical brace that stiffens the whole frame without adding a fourth wood shelf.

Cut the aluminum angle with a jigsaw fitted with a metal-cutting blade, cut to your desired height without casters. Cut the wood shelves to your desired length with a circular saw or miter saw.
Predrill holes where the metal angle will attach to the wood shelves. Attach the angle iron legs to the shelves with self-tapping wood screws.
Flip the assembled shelf over and attach caster wheels to the base of the legs.
If the shelf feels wobbly, attach aluminum flat bar to the back with screws for extra support.
Sand the wood shelves and apply primer and paint, or stain and poly.
