This laundry station is really two separate builds that combine into one: a simple 2x4-leg table, and a rolling cart sized to slide underneath it on drawer slides like an oversized drawer. Build the table frame first exactly like any simple leg table, with pocket holes throughout and the top attached last — this piece is genuinely simple and stands complete on its own before the cart is ever built.
The cart is where the real trick lives: it's built as a simple 1x3 frame box on caster wheels, sized to hold three canvas sorting bins, with its own drawer slide member installed to mate with the one under the tabletop. Build the cart's face frames first, then whatever bottom material you have on hand — the plan is genuinely flexible here, listing scrap plywood, various 1x boards, or a full plywood panel as equally valid options.
Once both pieces are built, position the cart inside the table frame and install the drawer slides connecting them — this is the step that turns two separate pieces of furniture into one functioning unit, letting the whole sorting cart roll out from under the table on its casters for loading and unloading laundry, then push back in flush when not in use.

Assumes 8 ft stock, a 1/8" saw kerf, and buying each part at its own width. Change the board size or kerf on the full board plan →
Drill two 3/4" pocket holes on each end of the short side support boards. Attach to legs with 1-1/4" pocket holes, also drilling holes facing upward on the top boards for attaching the tabletop later. Build two leg sets.
Drill pocket holes on the front/back support boards and attach to the legs to complete the table frame.
Attach the top using the predrilled pocket holes with 1-1/4" pocket hole screws. The table is now complete; set aside.
Build two cart face frames from the legs and front/back/side pieces.
Attach the bottom pieces to the cart frame, nailing and gluing in place.
Attach caster wheels to the base of the cart.
Position the cart inside the table frame and install the drawer slides connecting the cart to the table.
Sand all surfaces and apply primer and paint, or stain and poly. Add the canvas sorting bins and handle.
