This is a closet-organizer insert, not a stand-alone piece of furniture: a single center divider with evenly spaced shelves pocket-screwed to each side, sized to slide into a closet opening and just sit there. That's a deliberate choice — pocket holes make a strong, square joint without needing screws driven through the closet's own walls, so you can pull the whole unit back out later if your storage needs change or you move.
The build is really two mirror-image shelf units built off one shared center board. Mark the center divider on both faces before you drill a single pocket hole, so the shelf spacing lines up on both sides — nothing looks worse in a closet than shelves that don't match side to side at eye level.

Lay out shelf positions on both faces of the center divider with a square, working from the bottom up so the spacing matches side to side. Mark both faces now — you'll be building each side as its own mirror-image unit off this one board, and mismatched marks mean mismatched shelves later.
Set your jig for 3/4" stock and drill pocket holes along one edge of each of the eight shelf boards. Attach them to the center divider one side at a time with 1-1/4" pocket screws and glue, working up from the bottom to your marked lines.
Flip to the other face and repeat, attaching the remaining four shelves to match your marks. Sand every surface — this sits at shoe level and gets bumped and scuffed constantly.
Slide the finished unit into your closet opening. It's stable enough to sit unattached, which is the point — pull it back out any time. If you'd rather it never shifts, drive a couple of screws or nails through the top into the closet framing, but it isn't required.
