3-in-1 Fire Pit Bench

Lay out one leg set and attach the pieces together at their overlaps with 2-3/4" exterior deck screws. Add exterior wood glue at the joints for strength. The 15° cuts give the trapezoidal splay that lets sections ring a fire pit.

Build the second leg set exactly the same, but mirrored. Confirm the two sets match before decking — a mismatch throws off how the bench meets its neighbors in the ring.

Place the twelve 2x6 boards on top and attach, spacing the gaps evenly. Screw down with 2-3/4" screws and glue. The gaps let rain drain so the seat dries between uses. Let cedar silver or finish for exterior use.
