Attach the two short aprons to two legs each, forming the end assemblies. Make sure the pocket holes for attaching the tabletop later face upward and sit on the inside faces, where they stay hidden. Getting this orientation right now saves a fight later.
Attach the two long aprons to the leg sets, tying the base into a rectangle. Check it for square before the last joint — the premade top will be flat, so any wobble will come from a racked base.
Center the base upside down on the underside of the premade panel and screw up through the aprons' upward-facing pocket holes into the top. Sand any sharp edges — this is a kids' table — and finish with a durable, wipeable coat.
