This plan assumes the open-base cabinet from the Basic Collection is already built, per its own plan. Don't start here first.
Cut the plywood door backer to size and sand the edges carefully. Edge banding, applied and trimmed now, gives a much cleaner look than leaving the plywood edges bare.
Glue and clamp the decorative front boards to the plywood backer. A few 5/8" nails or staples from the back add extra security to the glue joint while it cures.
Attach the knobs or pulls to the doors — this fastener is also part of what holds the false front to the plywood, so don't skip it. Attach the finished doors to the base cabinet with hinges.
