The angled dividers are the one part of this build that takes real care: they start as square 1x6 blocks and get an angle cut off after being roughly positioned, rather than being pre-cut to a fixed angle and hoping they fit. Clamp each divider to the bench before cutting its angle — a small piece like this is genuinely dangerous to cut freehand, and clamping is what keeps the cut accurate anyway.
Everything here is nailed and glued, no pocket holes needed, which makes it a good small project to practice clean nail placement and tight glue joints on before committing to a bigger piece.

Use 1-1/4" nails and glue to attach the center divider and front trim to the middle shelf.
Trim the side pieces to match the depth of the center divider, then attach with 1-1/4" nails and glue.
Position the angled divider pieces roughly in place, mark the angle needed, then clamp each one securely to the bench and cut carefully — these pieces are too small to cut safely freehand. Attach with 1-1/4" nails and glue.
Attach the plywood back with 3/4" nails and glue.
Assemble the drawer box from the sides and back, nail on the plywood bottom, then attach the drawer face to the drawer sides with 1-1/4" nails.
Sand all edges smooth and finish as desired.
