Dachshund-Shaped CD Holder

A dachshund-shaped CD holder cut from a printable pattern, using bent metal flashing brackets to support the CD stack.

1. Transfer the pattern
Materials: Pine, 3/4", assorted
Print the body pattern in landscape mode at 100% (grid squares should be 1in) and transfer it to the 3/4in pine.
2. Cut the body pieces
Tools: Band Saw. Materials: Pine, 3/4", assorted
Cut two each of the front and back leg shapes and two body/back pieces, then sand all pieces before gluing them together.
3. Cut and shape the brackets
Materials: Bent metal flashing, 3"
Cut two 3in lengths of metal flashing for support brackets, filing the edges and rounding the corners.
4. Mount the brackets
Tools: Drill / Driver. Materials: Wood screws, #6 x 5/8"
Drill mounting holes in the brackets and dimple the back pieces to match, then fasten the brackets in place with wood screws.
