Nail the frame boards together with 1-1/4" brad nails and wood glue. Use a 1x6 or 1x4 for the back board, which stands taller to carry lettering.

Cut the 1/4" plywood bottom with a circular saw, clamping the plywood to your bench for a clean, safe cut. Glue and attach with 3/4" brad nails or staples, fastening into the center of the box.

Cut the four little feet off the end of a longer (16"+) piece so your hands stay clear of the blade — never cut tiny pieces at the saw. Attach the feet with glue and a 1-1/4" pocket screw at each corner for grip. Paint, and add lettering (painted or cut vinyl) to the back board.
