Vintage Camper Napkin Holder

A whimsical vintage-camper-shaped napkin holder cut from scrap wood, with a dowel tongue jack and drilled wheel details.

1. Transfer the pattern
Materials: Scrap wood, assorted
Print the camper-shaped pattern and transfer it onto scrap wood.
2. Cut the body and base
Tools: Jigsaw, Miter Saw. Materials: Scrap wood, assorted
Cut the curved camper body shape with a jigsaw, then cut the napkin holder's bottom to length on a miter saw.
3. Add the tongue jack
Tools: Drill / Driver. Materials: Dowel rod, 3/8" (tongue jack)
Drill a pilot hole and glue in the dowel tongue jack so it holds the front of the camper level.
4. Drill the wheel details
Tools: Drill Press
Use a drill press and hole saw to cut circular tire details into the body.
5. Assemble and finish
Tools: Brad Nailer. Materials: Paint, multiple colors
Assemble the sides and tire details with a brad nailer and glue, then paint in a retro color scheme.
