This is a jigsaw-and-glue project more than a joinery one: cut a bunny-face silhouette and a matching back panel from plywood, and staple straight fence-picket sides between them to make a basket you can actually carry. The whole thing hinges on getting the traced pattern symmetrical — fold your paper pattern in half before tracing so both ears and both sides of the face match, since any lopsidedness is immediately obvious on a shape this simple and this small.

Fold a paper pattern in half and trace it so the bunny face and ears come out symmetrical, then transfer the pattern to the 1/2" plywood and cut both the face and back panels with a jigsaw.
Glue and staple the two side pieces to the face and back panels, forming the basket's box shape.
Cut the bottom to fit and glue and staple it to the sides and front. Add a handle across the top — a strip of the same fence-picket material, or a length of scrap, works well.
Sand any rough edges, especially anywhere little hands will grip, then stain or paint.
