This hutch is a genuinely simple nail-and-glue build: the top nails straight down into the sides and middle divider, and the plywood back squares the whole locker up once it's nailed into every side, middle, and top board. Square the case before the back goes on — the back panel is what locks the square in place, so getting it right first matters.
The upper cubby floor pieces are toenailed in at an angle both ways — through the face of the cubby floor into the middle divider, and from the middle divider back into the cubby floor's side edges — which is a technique worth practicing on scrap if you haven't toenailed before. Top trim centers on the case with a 1/4" overhang on each side, and the shelf trim below it keeps its top edge flush while nailing into the edges of both the side boards and the cubby floor above.
The bottom supports go in last, nailed through the sides into their ends and toenailed from the supports into the center board, with the plywood back finally nailed to the supports to close everything up.

Assumes 8 ft stock, a 1/8" saw kerf, and buying each part at its own width. Change the board size or kerf on the full board plan →
Nail through the top into the top edges of the sides and middle with 2" nails and glue.
Square up the locker, then glue and nail the plywood back to the sides, middle, and top with 1-1/4" nails.
Toenail through the face of the cubby floors into the middle board, then toenail from the middle board into the side edges of the cubby floors, with 2" nails and glue. Nail through the back into the cubby floor edges too.
Center the top trim on the case with a 1/4" overhang on each side, and attach with 2" nails and glue.
Attach the shelf trim below the cubby floors, keeping the top edges flush, nailing through its face into the edges of the sides and cubby floors above.
Fasten the bottom supports with glue and 2" nails through the sides into the end edges, and toenailed from the supports into the center board. Nail the plywood back to the supports with 1" nails.
Sand and apply primer and paint, or stain and poly.
