This is a genuinely customizable pattern, not just a fixed plan: the source gives both a ready-to-cut list for standard-size bottles and a formula for scaling the caddy to any bottle diameter or count you need. If you're building for a specific bottle, measure its actual base diameter and height and run the numbers through the formula rather than trusting the default measurements — a caddy sized for cider bottles will be too tight for a chunkier wine bottle.
The dogeared ends — cut at 45° with a 1" flat left at the top — are a nice detail that keeps the caddy from looking like a plain box, and they also happen to be exactly where the dowel handle seats, so get that flat section's width right or the handle won't sit level.

Assumes 8 ft stock, a 1/8" saw kerf, and buying each part at its own width. Change the board size or kerf on the full board plan →
Attach the bottom to the two end pieces with either glue and 1-1/4" brad nails or 2" trim screws and glue.
Attach the sides to the bottom and ends with either 1-1/4" brad nails and glue or 2" trim screws.
Space the dividers out evenly between the bottles' positions and attach with glue and 1-1/4" brad nails.
Drill a hole for the dowel handle in the flat top of each end piece, then attach the handle with glue and 2" trim screws driven through the ends into the dowel.
Fill any visible fastener holes, sand smooth, and finish with stain or paint.
