Step-by-step build — 5 steps. Also available as a print sheet.
Cut and lay out the three 1x12 tabletop boards, measuring their combined width. Adjust the cross support cuts if it doesn't match the diagram.
Build two side frames from the legs and horizontals, using the longer screws and glue.
Cut the remaining cross supports to fit the actual tabletop width and attach to the two side frames. Set on a level surface and let the glue dry.
Fill screw holes with wood filler, sand well, and paint or stain the frame, leaving the top edges raw wood so the tabletop can bond to them.
Apply glue generously to the top of the frame, place the tabletop on top, and attach with the shorter screws.
