Simple 24" Bath Vanity

Cut with the grain, longest cuts first — rip an 18"-wide strip off the sheet, then cut the sides and bottom shelf from that strip. Consider having the lumber yard make these long cuts for easier transport.

Place the bottom shelf between the sides and attach with a pocket hole jig, or countersunk screws or 2" finish nails and wood glue.

Attach the front and back face rails. The front rail needs a 4" space left above it to clear the vanity top and any fixtures. The back rails go at the top and bottom of the bottom shelf, centered.

Cut out the toe kick opening and attach with 2" finish nails and wood glue.

Glue and attach the decorative trim pieces to the front apron, if using them.

Attach decorative trim to the door faces if desired, add edge banding to any stained edges, and hang the doors with full-overlay hinges.
