Step-by-step build — 4 steps. Also available as a print sheet.
Connect one long apron and one short apron perpendicular at the ends to form an L-shape, using 1-1/2" screws and glue. Repeat with the remaining long and short apron to make a second L. Join the two L-shapes together to form a square frame with 1-1/2" screws and glue.
Attach a leg to the apron frame at each corner, screwing into both apron faces that meet at that corner, using 2" screws and glue. Repeat for all four legs.
On the long aprons, mark 18" in from each end and attach a mid support board there with 2" screws and glue. Repeat for the second support.
Attach the first tabletop board perpendicular to the short aprons and support boards, square to the apron edge, using 1-1/2" screws and glue. Drive one or two additional screws into each support board through the tabletop for a total of 6–8 screws per board. Repeat for all seventeen tabletop boards, spacing them evenly across the frame.
Cut a 45° angle on both ends of each 12" corner brace and attach to the underside corners of the table, screwing from the apron into the brace. Repeat at all four corners — these keep the frame from racking.
