Make it easier and safer to cut boards and plywood down to size with this sturdy cutting support grid. Made from 2x2 boards, it spans between two Kreg Track Horses. Or you can modify it to work with about any sawhorse or Kreg Mobile Project Center. Plus, it knocks down for compact storage.

| Pine board, 2x4 x 96" | 1 board |

Overall cost: $. Lumber prices vary by region, species, and season, so we give a band rather than a figure we would only be pretending to know.

Some parts are longer than a 8 ft board, so there is no honest board count to show here. Open the board plan to pick a longer stock length — it names every part that does not fit.

Now you can cut the parts for the cross bars, as shown in the cutting diagram. You’ll need four Upper Cross Bars, four Lower Cross Bars, and eight Cross Bar Fillers. You can also cut two 2x4 Cross Bars. They’ll fit in the tracks on top of either the Kreg Mobile Project Center or Track Horse. If you’re cutting with a miter saw instead of a circular saw, check out the how-to video for information on using stops to more-easily cut multiple parts to the same size.
Now, using the same methods you used to assemble the rails, you can assemble the cross bars. Once again, use scrap 2x2s as spacers.
