Step-by-step build — 7 steps. Also available as a print sheet.
Attach the two dividers to the bottom panel, set in 11-1/2" from each side. Use 1-1/4" brad nails, 2" self-tapping wood screws, or 3/4" pocket holes with 1-1/4" pocket hole screws.
Attach the top piece the same way, with the same 11-1/2" spacing on both sides.
Attach the trestle side panels to the storage box, leaving a 3-1/2" gap under the bottom shelf for the foot shape. Pocket holes are recommended, but 2" self-tapping wood screws work too.
Use a jigsaw to cut the decorative foot silhouette into both trestle sides — clamping the two together and cutting them at once keeps them matching. Cut the storage box sides to match the same foot profile where they meet the floor.
Attach the storage box to the trestle legs from the inside with 2" self-tapping screws.
Round over the corners of the 2x2 tabletop supports, then attach them to the top insides of the storage shelf with 2" screws, centered with even overhangs on both ends. Repeat for both sides.
Predrill and attach the tabletop through the 2x2 supports from underneath. Adjust your screw length to your tabletop's actual thickness so nothing pokes through the top surface.
