Step-by-step build — 4 steps. Also available as a print sheet.
Cut all boards per the cut list — every angle cut is 30° off square. Conserve wood by using the leftover angled offcut as the starting reference for the next cut. A miter saw is preferred for accuracy and speed. On the taller leg pieces, trim the back off with a circular saw as shown in the reference build, using a speed square to mark the angle.
Mark the insides of the taller legs using the shorter legs as a physical guide, tracing directly rather than measuring independently.
Flip the shorter leg over and match the top lines to the taller leg. Attach with screws so the top line matches the top of the shorter leg.
Attach the 2x6 backrest board first, matching the top edges, with the 2-3/4" screws. Then, on a flat, level surface, attach the seat board centered on the shorter leg and also screw it from the outside of the longer leg.
