A coop this size needs to solve three problems at once: keeping the flock warm and dry, keeping predators out, and staying easy enough to clean that you'll actually do it. The raised 2x6 floor frame handles drainage and pest access from below, T1-11 siding gives a weathertight and paintable exterior in one material, and a wire-mesh floor opening plus mesh-covered door section handle ventilation and predator exclusion without extra hardware.
The roof trusses are cut at a 40° angle on both ends, in the same direction — a shed-style single-slope roof rather than a peaked one, which sheds water off the back and is a simpler truss to cut correctly than a ridge roof. Half the trusses get a bird's-mouth notch where they land on the wall top plate; the other half don't need one, so keep the two groups sorted before you start standing them.
The nest box is referenced in the source as a separate linked plan and isn't detailed here — budget separate time and material for it, or substitute a simpler shelf-and-divider box of your own design.

Assumes 8 ft stock, a 1/8" saw kerf, and buying each part at its own width. Change the board size or kerf on the full board plan →
Build the floor frame from the 2x6 perimeter and cross joists per the cut list, squaring it up on a level site.
Frame each wall section separately from the 2x4 studs and plates, then stand and fasten all four wall frames to the floor frame.
Cut and assemble the roof trusses with 40-degree angle cuts, notching the bird's-mouth into the half of the set that will sit on the wall top plate. Install the trusses onto the wall frames.
Build and install a nest box, then side the walls with T1-11 panels, cutting door and mesh-vent openings as you go.
Frame and hang the door or doors, covering any wire-mesh vent openings with mesh stapled firmly in place.
Install the roof deck plywood, then roofing paper and shingles. Staple wire mesh across the floor-frame opening for predator protection from below.
